Ring doorbell Black Friday deals 2026 UK: prices to wait for
Short answer: the Ring Wired Video Doorbell 2K at £29.99 from John Lewis is the one to buy now. Wait for Black Friday for the battery models, which are still at full price. Last Black Friday the battery doorbell was £39.99 at Amazon, and the new 2K version is £79.99 today.
Ring launched a new range in March 2026, so some 'deals' are really older models being cleared. We've noted which is which below. Prices were last checked on 23 October 2026.
Ring Wired Video Doorbell 2K (2nd Gen)
Half Ring's own £59.99 price. It needs existing doorbell wiring, but it's the cheapest way into Ring by a distance.
Ring Wired Video Doorbell Pro (3rd Gen) with Plug-In Adapter
£90 less than at Ring. The plug-in adapter means it doesn't need doorbell wiring, just a nearby socket. It has sharper video and better motion detection than the 2K models, and the price is close to last year's Black Friday low for the older Wired Pro.
Ring Battery Video Doorbell Pro (1st Gen)
The previous top battery model, cleared at £60 off while stocks last. It's £100 cheaper than the new 4K Pro and still has head-to-toe video and 3D motion detection.
Ring Battery or Wired Video Doorbell 4K Pro + Indoor Cam Plus bundle
You get the indoor camera free with the 4K Pro, which costs £219.99 on its own. Worth it only if you'd use an indoor camera.
Ring Battery Video Doorbell 2K (2nd Gen)
Full price at Ring, Currys and Very. Its predecessor was £39.99 last Black Friday, so wait for at least £50.
Ring Battery Video Doorbell 2K Plus (2nd Gen)
£20 under Ring's price, but the older Plus was £69.99 last Black Friday. Hold on for under £90.
Ring doorbell prices to aim for this Black Friday
Ring renamed its doorbell range in March 2026, when it launched the second-generation 2K and 4K models. That makes last year's prices harder to compare, so the figures below are for the nearest equivalent model.
- Battery Video Doorbell 2K: £79.99 today. Its predecessor, the Battery Video Doorbell (2024), was £39.99 at Amazon on Black Friday 2025. Aim for £50 or less.
- Battery Video Doorbell 2K Plus: £130 at John Lewis and Very, £149.99 at Ring. The older Plus was £69.99 at Amazon last Black Friday. Under £90 would be a good price for the new one.
- Wired Video Doorbell 2K: £29.99 at John Lewis today, half Ring's price. That's already a Black Friday-level price.
- Wired Video Doorbell Pro / 4K Pro: £129.99 at John Lewis (with plug-in adapter), £219.99 at Ring. The older Wired Pro was £99.49 at Ring last Black Friday. Aim for £130 or less.
- Battery Video Doorbell 4K Pro: £219.99 everywhere we checked. No Black Friday history yet; anything under £170 would be a real saving.
- Ring Intercom (Audio): £79.99 at Ring but showing as unavailable. It was £34.99 last Black Friday.
Ignore 'was' prices on Ring bundles. Ring's own 'regular price' for a doorbell and chime is just the two prices added together, and Very lists the 2K Plus as 'was £179.98', which is the bundle price, not the doorbell's.
Which Ring doorbell should you buy?
If you already have a wired doorbell: get the Wired Video Doorbell 2K. It's the cheapest Ring, it never needs charging, and at £29.99 it's a bargain. It runs on your existing doorbell wiring, and it can work with your existing chime. Ring also sells a plug-in adapter version if you don't have wiring.
If you have no wiring: the Battery Video Doorbell 2K is the simple choice. It screws to the wall and recharges via USB every few months, depending on how busy your door is. Wait for a Black Friday price, though.
If you want a better view of parcels: the Plus models show more of the area below the doorbell, so you can see parcels left on the step. The 4K Pro models add a sharper picture and more advanced motion detection, which helps cut false alerts from passing cars. Most homes don't need the Pro.
Flats: the Ring Intercom connects to a communal door entry system, so you can buzz people in from your phone. Check that your building's intercom is compatible before you buy.
Don't forget the subscription
Ring doorbells work without a subscription, but you only get live view and alerts. To save and replay recordings, you need a Ring plan. These are the UK prices on Ring's website today:
- Ring Solo (one device): £4.99 a month or £49.99 a year
- Ring Multi (every device at one address): £7.99 a month or £79.99 a year
- Ring Pro (adds AI video descriptions and video search): £15.99 a month or £159.99 a year
Over three years, a Solo plan costs about £150, more than the doorbell itself. Factor that in when comparing Ring with rivals that store video locally.
When are Ring doorbells cheapest?
Ring is owned by Amazon, so the biggest discounts usually come in Amazon's own sales: Prime Day in July, Prime Big Deal Days in October and Black Friday. Last year the best prices started in the week before Black Friday and ran through Cyber Monday. Bundles with an Echo Dot or a chime are often the best value, as long as you'd use the extra device.
Will Ring doorbells be cheaper on Black Friday 2026?
Very likely for the battery models, which are mostly at full price today. Ring cut the older models by up to half last year. The Wired 2K at £29.99 is already cheap enough to buy now.
Do I need a Ring subscription?
No, but without one you can't watch recordings, only live video. Most owners end up paying for at least the Solo plan.
Which Ring doorbell is best for a rented home?
The Battery Video Doorbell 2K, as it needs no wiring and only two screws. Check your tenancy agreement or ask your landlord before fitting anything.
Should I buy the older Ring doorbells on clearance?
They're fine if the price is right. Ring has the original Battery Video Doorbell Pro at £119.99, down from £179.99, while stocks last. The new Battery 4K Pro costs £100 more, and the main extras are a sharper picture and a larger battery.
