Nintendo Switch 2 Black Friday deals 2026 UK: console and bundle prices
Short answer: the Switch 2 console is £389 at Currys and John Lewis today, but it was £354.99 during Amazon's Prime sale two weeks ago, so wait for Black Friday unless it's needed sooner. The best-value bundle right now is the Switch 2 with Animal Crossing at £399 from Currys, just £10 more than the console on its own.
Nintendo raised the official price to £419.99 on 1 September, and this year's Christmas bundles cost more than last year's. We'll update this page as prices move. Prices were last checked on 21 October 2026.
Nintendo Switch 2 console
£31 under the RRP, and John Lewis is the same price. It fell to £354.99 in early October, so there's room for a Black Friday drop.
Nintendo Switch 2 + Animal Crossing: New Horizons bundle
Only £10 more than the console alone, so the game is close to free. This was its Prime sale price too, and it's older stock that may not last.
Nintendo Switch 2 + Pokémon Legends: Z-A bundle
£20 more than the console for a full Pokémon game. Very charges £441, and John Lewis has stopped selling it, so stock is running out.
Nintendo Switch 2 + Mario Kart World bundle (2026 edition), pre-order
Out 29 October. The game is a download code, not a cartridge. Last year's bundle went to about £405 on Black Friday, so we'd hold on.
Nintendo Switch 2 + Switch Sports Resort bundle
New on 22 October at basically full price (RRP £449.99). A good family pick, but new bundles rarely get big cuts in their first month.
Mario Kart World (Switch 2)
The game most people want with a new Switch 2. If you buy the console alone, this is roughly what the bundle charges for it anyway.
Switch 2 prices to aim for this Black Friday
These are the lowest UK prices we've seen. At or near these, it's a genuinely good deal.
- Switch 2 console (RRP £419.99): £354.99 at Amazon during Prime Big Deal Days, 6–7 October 2026, matched by Argos, John Lewis and Smyths. Which? puts the six-month average at about £420. Anything under £370 is good.
- Mario Kart World bundle (2026 edition, RRP £459.99): the old version was about £415 at Amazon in October. Aim for £420 or less.
- Animal Crossing bundle: £399 at Currys, the same as its October sale price.
- Black Friday 2025, for reference: the original Mario Kart World bundle (RRP £429.99, with a physical game) fell to £404.95 at Amazon and £409 at Currys, John Lewis and Very.
Which Switch 2 should you buy?
Console only: best if you already know which games you want, or want to buy games second-hand.
A bundle with a game you'd buy anyway: usually the cheapest way in. Older bundles (Animal Crossing, Pokémon Legends: Z-A) are the best value today, adding a full game for £10–£20.
The 2026 Mario Kart World and Sports Resort bundles: fine for Christmas, but note the game is a digital code linked to your Nintendo account, not a cartridge you can lend or sell. They also include 90 days of Nintendo Switch Online.
Zelda 40th Anniversary Edition: a special-design console with no game, about £434. Pre-orders sold out at John Lewis. Only for collectors.
Will the Switch 2 be cheaper on Black Friday 2026?
Probably a little. Retailers have already shown they'll sell the console for £354.99, and Black Friday prices usually match or beat Prime sale prices. But the price rise in September came from rising memory costs, and stock of the cheapest bundles is thinning, so a drop well below £355 seems unlikely. Our steer: if you see the console at about £355, or a game bundle under £400, buy it.
Is it worth buying a Switch 2 now or waiting?
Wait if you can. It's £389 today, and it was £354.99 two weeks ago. The exception is the £399 Animal Crossing bundle, which may sell out.
Which Switch 2 bundle is the best value?
Right now, the Animal Crossing bundle at Currys for £399. The Pokémon Legends: Z-A bundle at £409 is a close second if you'd rather have Pokémon.
Does the Mario Kart World bundle come with a physical game?
Not the 2026 version. It comes with a download code. Last year's bundle had a cartridge; if you see one of those still on sale, check the listing carefully.
Where is cheapest for the Switch 2 in the UK?
It changes week to week. Today Currys and John Lewis are joint cheapest for the console among the big retailers. Amazon, Argos and Smyths all matched the £354.99 low in October, so check them on Black Friday too.
