TV Black Friday deals 2026 UK: OLED and budget TV prices to beat
Short answer: the Hisense U7S 55-inch at £799 and the LG B6 55-inch OLED at £1,199 are already good buys. Wait on most other OLEDs. The LG C5, Samsung S90F and Sony Bravia 8 II are all £100 to £300 above last year's Black Friday prices.
We compare each TV against what it actually sold for recently, not the shop's 'was' price. Prices were last checked on 23 October 2026.
Hisense U7S 55-inch Mini LED TV (55U7STUK, 2026)
About £200 under its six-month low on Which?. Richer Sounds matches it and adds £100 Hisense cashback. A very bright TV for daytime viewing.
LG B6 55-inch OLED TV (OLED55B65LA, 2026)
Matches its lowest price in six months. LG's cheapest OLED, with perfect blacks but less brightness than the C series. It could dip again on Black Friday.
LG C5 65-inch OLED TV (OLED65C56LB)
£1,599 at Richer Sounds, or £1,299 with code RSTV300 at checkout. That's within £20 of last Black Friday's price for one of the best all-round TVs of 2025.
LG C5 55-inch OLED TV (OLED55C56LB)
£1,199, or £1,079.10 with code LG10PERCENT. It was £979 last Black Friday, so wait for under £1,000.
Samsung S90F 55-inch OLED TV (QE55S90F)
A strong rival to the LG C5, but it's been as low as £699 in the past six months. Not worth £999.
Sony Bravia 8 II 65-inch OLED TV (K65XR8M2)
£2,399, or £2,149 with code GDTV250, plus £100 Sony cashback until 27 October. Sony's best OLED, but it was £1,999 last Black Friday.
TCL C7K 65-inch Mini LED TV (65C7K-UK)
Good value for a 65-inch Mini LED, but it was £749 last Black Friday. Hold on.
Hisense A6Q 55-inch 4K TV (55A6QTUK)
Argos says this is its lowest price yet. A basic 4K set, fine for a bedroom or for everyday TV on a tight budget.
TV prices to aim for this Black Friday
These are last year's Black Friday prices (or the lowest recent price) for the TVs people ask about most. A deal at or below these is genuinely good.
- LG C5 55-inch OLED: £979 at Richer Sounds on Black Friday 2025. It's £1,079 with a code today, so aim for under £1,000.
- LG C5 65-inch OLED: £1,279 last Black Friday. Richer Sounds has it at £1,299 with a code today, which is close enough to buy.
- LG B6 55-inch OLED: £1,199 today, its lowest price in six months. Last year's B5 dropped below £900, so the B6 could fall further.
- Samsung S90F 55-inch OLED: £699 in the last six months, according to Which?. At £999 today, it's not a deal yet.
- Sony Bravia 8 II 65-inch: £1,999 last Black Friday. Aim for £2,000 or less.
- TCL C7K 65-inch Mini LED: £749 last Black Friday, £849 today. Wait.
- Hisense U7S 55-inch Mini LED: £799 today, already about £200 below its recent low. Buy now.
Which type of TV should you buy?
OLED (LG, Samsung S90F/S95F, Sony Bravia 8 II): each pixel makes its own light, so blacks are perfectly black and contrast is the best you can get. Ideal for films and dimmer rooms. LG's B series is the cheapest way in; the C series is brighter and has better gaming features; Samsung's S90F is the main rival to the LG C.
Mini LED (Hisense U7, TCL C7K, Samsung QN90F): an LCD with thousands of tiny backlights. Brighter than most OLEDs, which helps in sunny living rooms, and usually cheaper size for size. Blacks aren't quite as deep, and you may see a faint glow around bright objects on a dark background.
Budget 4K LED (Hisense A6, Samsung U-series, Amazon's own TVs): fine for everyday TV in a bedroom or kitchen, or for anyone on a tight budget. Don't expect strong HDR or good motion handling for sport.
What size? For a 4K TV, most people sit around 2 to 2.5 metres away, which suits a 55- or 65-inch screen. If you're torn, go bigger: almost nobody regrets it.
Watch out for Black Friday model numbers
The same TV can be sold under different model codes at different shops, and some TVs appear around Black Friday with codes you won't find elsewhere, which makes them hard to compare. Check the full model code before you buy. For example, the LG B6 55-inch is OLED55B65LA at Currys and OLED55B6ELC at Argos, and the Hisense 55U7STUK is a different TV from the 55U7STUK PRO.
Also look out for checkout codes. Several of the best prices at Richer Sounds and Sevenoaks only apply when you enter a code at checkout, and some brands offer cashback that you have to claim after you buy.
When are TVs cheapest?
Black Friday is usually the best time of year for TV prices, with the biggest drops in the week before and on Cyber Monday. New models launch in spring, and last year's TVs often drop again from around March to May as shops clear stock. If you can wait until then, you may do even better than Black Friday on an outgoing model.
Should I buy a TV now or wait for Black Friday 2026?
Wait for most OLEDs, which are £100 to £300 above last year's Black Friday prices. The exceptions are the LG B6 55-inch, the LG C5 65-inch with Richer Sounds' code, and the Hisense U7S, which are already at or near their lows.
Is OLED worth the extra money?
For films and darker rooms, yes. For a very bright room or lots of daytime TV, a good Mini LED like the Hisense U7S can look better and costs less.
Is last year's model a better deal?
Often. The LG C5 is still a superb TV and is cheaper than the C6, and the picture difference between them is small. Buy last year's model while stock lasts.
Do I need a soundbar?
Most thin TVs have weak speakers. Even a budget soundbar is a noticeable upgrade, and soundbars are also heavily discounted on Black Friday.
