Lego advent calendar 2026: every set, price and where cheapest

The five Lego advent calendars for 2026

Lego has gone back to a smaller range this year. There's no Harry Potter or Minecraft calendar for 2026, which leaves five:

• City (60510): 252 pieces, ages 5+, RRP £22.99
• Friends (42698): 211 pieces, ages 6+, RRP £22.99
• Disney (43298): 290 pieces, Disney Princess theme, RRP £29.99
• Star Wars (75456): 293 pieces, ages 6+, RRP £29.99
• Marvel (76340): 317 pieces, ages 6+, RRP £29.99

Each has 24 doors with a minifigure or small build behind each one. City and Friends went up from £19.99 last year to £22.99, so the discounts matter more than usual.

Which one should you pick?

Under-6s or first calendar: City. It's the cheapest, rated 5+, and the builds are simple enough to do alone.

Friends fans: the Friends calendar is good value at £18, though it has the fewest pieces of the five.

Star Wars fans: Star Wars is the safe choice for any age, adults included. It tends to be one of the first to go, so buy it sooner rather than later.

Marvel fans, or the most Lego for the money: Marvel has the most pieces (317), so it gives the most building for £23.99.

Disney fans: the Disney calendar is princess-themed this year. It's the hardest to find at a discount right now, as Lego.com has sold out.

Price per piece: which is the best value?

A price of around 10p a piece is normal for Lego, and licensed themes usually cost more. At today's best prices, every calendar beats that:

• City: about 7.1p a piece (£17.99)
• Marvel: about 7.6p (£23.99)
• Star Wars: about 7.8p (£22.99)
• Disney: about 8.3p (£23.99)
• Friends: about 8.5p (£18)

At full price on Lego.com, they range from about 9p (City, Marvel) to 11p (Friends) a piece. Lego.com also adds £3.95 delivery on small orders, so it's the most expensive place to buy one unless you're adding it to a bigger order.

Will Lego advent calendar prices drop before December?

Probably a little, but it's a gamble. Here's what happened last year:

• Late October 2025: all six 2025 calendars hit 20% off on Amazon, the same level they're at now.
• Mid-November 2025: most fell to about 30% off. The Star Wars calendar went to £21 and the Friends calendar to £14, and the Disney Frozen calendar briefly hit half price (£15).

So another few pounds off by Black Friday (27 November) is possible. The risk is that the popular ones go out of stock first, as Disney already has at Lego.com. Saving £2 isn't worth missing out on the calendar a child has asked for. Our advice is to buy Star Wars and Disney now, and if you're buying City or Friends, you can wait until mid-November. If Amazon runs Black Friday deals on them, check whether the price needs Prime.

Where to buy

Amazon is the cheapest for four of the five calendars right now. Smyths has the Marvel calendar at £23.99, and John Lewis had City at £17.99 and Star Wars at £22.99 a few days ago. Hamleys was listing Star Wars at the full £29.99 when we checked, so it isn't the cheapest this time. We'll switch to Hamleys if its prices match.

What is the cheapest Lego advent calendar 2026?

Lego City (60510), at £17.99 on Amazon when we checked on 28 October 2026. Its RRP is £22.99.

Is there a Lego Harry Potter advent calendar in 2026?

No. Lego hasn't released a Harry Potter or Minecraft calendar for 2026. The five calendars are City, Friends, Disney, Star Wars and Marvel.

Which Lego advent calendar has the most pieces?

Marvel (76340), with 317 pieces. Star Wars has 293, Disney 290, City 252 and Friends 211.

When do Lego advent calendars sell out?

The popular ones can sell out in November, well before 1 December. The Disney calendar is already out of stock at Lego.com. Calendars are made for one season only and restocks aren't guaranteed, so buy the one you want while it's in stock.
