ghd Black Friday deals 2026: the prices worth waiting for
Short answer: wait. Almost every ghd styler is at full price today, with the Platinum+ at £249 and the Chronos at £299, and last year's sales took £40 to £60 off both. ghd usually runs 20–30% off for Black Friday and the big retailers match it, so unless you need one this week, hold off until late November.
ghd also put its prices up this year (the Platinum+ was £239 and the Gold £189 in 2025), so last year's sale prices are a rough guide rather than an exact target. These prices were checked on 26 October 2026.

Dries and straightens in one go. It was about £279 at ghd in the 2024 Black Friday sale, so £100 off isn't unrealistic.

£10 more than the styler alone, with gift extras ghd values at £57.50. Only worth it if you're buying it as a present and want it gift-ready.

If you see a ghd at or below these prices, it's a good deal. If the discount is less than 20%, it's probably worth waiting a few more days.
Which ghd should you buy?
ghd Platinum+ is the one most people should get. It adjusts its heat as it goes, which means less damage on fine or coloured hair, and it's usually the best value of ghd's premium stylers.
ghd Chronos is ghd's top straightener. In side-by-side tests it's a little faster, glides more smoothly and leaves more shine, and it's better for curling. Worth it if you style every day; otherwise the Platinum+ is close enough for less money.
ghd Gold is lighter and a good all-rounder, especially for curls and waves. ghd Original is the cheapest way into the brand. For long or thick hair, the wide-plate Max or Chronos Max gets through it faster.
For dryers, the Helios is the sensible buy. The Duet Style and Duet Blowdry dry and style in one, but they're expensive, so only buy one at a sale price.
When do ghd prices drop?
Black Friday 2026 is on Friday 27 November, and Cyber Monday on 30 November. In recent years ghd has run around 20–30% off on its own site, with Amazon, Boots, John Lewis, LookFantastic and Very following. Amazon often goes lowest on older models. ghd's Christmas gift sets come out in October, but they're rarely discounted much.

Is the ghd gift set worth it?
Only if you're giving it as a present. The extras are nice, but you're paying more than for the styler alone, and the styler is the thing that gets discounted on Black Friday.
