Week's best: Shark Stratos £199, a Philips dual air fryer £89.99 and the Glossybox advent calendar £85
This week's biggest story is Currys starting its Black Friday sale a month early, with a price guarantee. Buy at Currys before 24 November, register the purchase, and if Currys cuts the price again before 1 December you can claim the difference. That makes its early prices safer than most, so five of this week's best picks come from that sale.
The standouts: the Shark Stratos cordless at £199 (less than half its original price), the Philips 3000 Series dual-basket air fryer at £89.99 and the Bosch Unlimited 7 at £229. For gifts, the Glossybox 2026 advent calendar is £85 and AirPods 5 are £119. Currys prices are as reported on 29 October; the others were checked on retailer pages on 30 October.
Shark Stratos Cordless Vacuum with Anti Hair Wrap Plus (IZ411UKT)
Shark's flagship cordless for pet homes, at well under half its launch price. Register it with the Currys guarantee in case it drops further. More in our Shark Black Friday guide.
Philips 3000 Series Dual Basket Air Fryer (NA35319)
Two baskets for cooking a main and a side together, for under £90. A cheaper alternative to the big-name dual drawers if you don't need the extra capacity.
Ninja 6-in-1 DualZone XL Air Fryer (DZ901UK)
The larger Ninja dual drawer, which suits families cooking for four or more. Fair now, but it has gone lower in past sales. See our air fryer Black Friday guide.
Bosch Unlimited 7 Cordless Vacuum (BCS712LGB)
A well-made cordless with a swappable battery, at £170 off. Worth a look if you want a Dyson rival without the Dyson price.
Sage the Barista Express Bean-to-Cup Espresso Machine (BES875)
The all-in-one espresso machine with a built-in grinder. £130 off is a solid early price, and the Currys guarantee covers you if it falls again.
GLOSSYBOX 2026 Advent Calendar (26 products, worth over £645)
26 products for £85, and in stock when we checked. Subscribers pay £75. Compare it with the rest in our beauty advent calendars guide.
LOOKFANTASTIC Beauty Advent Calendar 2026 (worth over £665)
25 doors with 19 full-size products, for about half the price of the Cult Beauty calendar. Our new Cult Beauty advent calendar guide compares the two.
Apple AirPods 5
Noise cancelling now comes as standard, which makes these better value than the older AirPods 4 with ANC at £129. Same price at John Lewis. See our AirPods Black Friday guide.
Worth waiting for?
At Currys, no: the price guarantee means buying now costs you nothing if you register the purchase and Currys cuts the price before 1 December. Elsewhere, big-ticket tech like the Dyson V15 and AirPods Pro 3 usually drops further in Black Friday week, so hold off on those. Advent calendars are the exception: the popular ones can sell out before December, so if you've found one you want at a fair price, buying now is reasonable. Check retailer start dates in when is Black Friday 2026, and every brand guide is on the Black Friday hub.
Earlier this week
We couldn't re-check this week's electric blanket, heated throw and airer prices today, so they're not repeated here. Monday's keep warm for less spotlight has the full comparison and the target prices to look for.
